三、长毛的英短就是英长吗？
英短长毛猫是返祖的英短。被 cfa认可的品种，是英短，只不过具有长毛的特征。是不是纯种要看血统和证书，和什么美短的判定方法一样，跟毛长短没有关系，纯看血统。
British shorthair是有可能生出来长毛的，因为品种初期，只有british 这种，后来单独分了两个品种，但是注册英短这个品种的时候，是可以选成长毛的。
就是品种认证是英短，但是特征描述是长毛，这种情况是正常的。很多猫品种都这样，一个品种非划分出来longhair和shorthair，但是特征描述上又可以选另外一种特征，而且也允许互相配。
